Menoposse Restorative Yoga Class

What to expect

Time: Wednesdays, 1-2.30 PM Duration: 90-minutes Instructor: Em Cook Location: North Fremantle Community Hall When we are in perimenopause or post-menopause, one of the most beneficial things we can do for ourselves is restore the nervous system. It’s the pause in menopause…! That’s why Little Glimmer offers a weekly 90-minute Menoposse Restorative Yoga Class. Here, you can enjoy time for yourself to soothe and replenish. In restorative yoga, we use bolsters, blocks, and blankets to prop ourselves into comfortable, nourishing positions that we hold for 3 to 10 minutes or longer. It’s kind of like building cubbies for your soul. There will be poetry, reflection and plenty of time to zone in. If you don’t feel like you have time to relax, it is all the more for you! Many students begin feeling like they ‘should’ be doing something more active. It’s surprising to learn that it can be beneficial for their training regime to have a day to rest and restore the body. We’ll practice the poses based on my training and accreditation in Petra Coveney’s Menopause Yoga. She’s spent over 10 years teaching and refining practice with 1,000s of menopausal women. I’m excited to share it with you. Facilities Yoga gear is provided, including mats, bolsters, blankets, eye pillows, straps, blocks, and massage balls. What to bring Please consider bringing a water bottle, journal and pen. You are welcome to bring your own gear, especially your favourite blanket and cosy socks. Investment Single class: $35. Packages: 5 x 90-minute sessions for $160, 10 x 90-minute sessions for $300. Select your pricing at booking checkout. Spaces are limited so please book to avoid missing out.

Hi, I'm Em 

I lead all Little Glimmer classes and Retreats. 

I'm a certified yoga instructor (Level 1 Tamara Yoga 350hr Teacher Training) and an accredited Menopause Yoga teacher.

I’m not a perfect teacher (no arm balances or headstands here!) I’m playful, philosophical, and nurturing.

I love how yoga teachers can mention one little story or a slice of yogi philosophy that reaches you at just the right time. I hope to bring this kind of little glimmer to you one day.
